An introduction to the ideas, influences and intentions that form the foundation of /project cvsd.
From personal interest to a curated perspective
My interest in fashion began to intensify around 2018, initially shaped by more visible, hype-driven brands. Over time, that curiosity never disappeared, but evolved. Through years of observing, collecting and wearing clothing, my focus gradually shifted towards a more refined and considered approach. Today, my taste is shaped primarily by European and Asian designers, with a strong emphasis on Belgian, Italian, French and German labels, as well as Japanese and South Korean designers.
Through years of collecting, wearing and studying clothing, a distinct taste developed. One shaped by observation, daily wear and a growing appreciation for design that feels intentional rather than loud.
Focus on design, wearability and longevity
project cvsd is centered around European and Asian designers, with a particular interest in Belgian, Italian, French, German, Japanese and South Korean labels. The common ground between them is not hype or seasonality, but an emphasis on thoughtful design.
Every piece is selected based on four core principles: aesthetic, quality, timelessness and wearability. Clothing should function in everyday life while still offering something distinctive, whether through material choice, cut, silhouette or subtle detailing.
All items featured on the platform are original, carefully inspected and handpicked by me. /project cvsd is a one-person project. Each piece is chosen individually, only if it feels coherent within the overall vision. As my perspective continues to evolve, the selection may change as well.
/project cvsd exclusively focuses on vintage and secondhand clothing. Not as a trend, but as a conscious stance. Enough clothing already exists. There is no need to constantly produce more when well-made garments from the past still hold relevance, quality and character.
Recontextualizing existing pieces, giving them a new lifecycle and placing them into a contemporary setting is an essential part of the project. Secondhand allows for a slower, more intentional approach to fashion and consumption.
Secondhand as a conscious decision
While /project cvsd functions as a curated shop, it is equally intended as a digital archive and editorial space for fashion enthusiasts. The platform will grow into a blog and knowledge base, featuring thoughts on fashion culture, industry developments and personal perspectives.
In addition, /project cvsd aims to provide curated resources such as overviews of designers and their current roles, Google Maps lists of relevant stores in major fashion cities, as well as recommendations for books, films and documentaries related to fashion and design.
At its core, /project cvsd is driven by passion. A project built to connect with others who share a deep interest in clothing, design and culture, and who value substance over noise.
